Listening to Voices "You can make a difference" - 10 Year Celebration Performance and Conversation

Brought to you by Gateway Health Professional Development & Community Event "Amazing, powerful, connecting, brave. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You can change the world." - audience member What happens when we truly listen to people with lived experience of mental health challenges? Join Listening to Voices Theatre , a creative project of Gateway Health as they celebrate 10 years of powerful storytelling, connection and change through a moving live performance that challenges the way we think about mental health, hearing voices and the people behind the diagnosis. Drawing on the real experiences of people who have navigated mental health systems, the performance offers audiences an honest, human and often unexpected perspective on what it means to live with mental health challenges — and what can happen when people are heard, respected and given a genuine voice. Following the performance, you'll have the opportunity to hear the impact Listening to Voices has had over the last decade, particularly in offering a very different kind of learning in classrooms and organisations. This is an opportunity for people working across health, mental health, social services, education and community, as well as anyone interested in creating more compassionate and responsive mental health systems, to reflect on what meaningful change can look like in practice.
