Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, no following you around the web. We count page visits without knowing who you are, and only keep what you choose to send us.
Last updated 18 October 2026: added cookie-free visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and how long we keep submissions.
Browsing the site
- We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie to block bots, for example while Turnstile checks a submission.
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, so we know which pages people use (for example, how many people opened a venue's page). It sets no cookies, doesn't use your browser storage, doesn't build a profile of you and doesn't follow you to other sites. We only see totals: pages, referring sites, countries and device types.
- Your browser stores two settings on your own device: your light/dark theme choice and whether you hid the map. We never see them.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including your IP address) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Some content loads from other services, which receive your IP address when your browser requests it:
- fonts from Google Fonts,
- map tiles from OpenFreeMap (based on OpenStreetMap data),
- Google Maps, only if you tap “Get directions”,
- event images, loaded from the venue or organiser's own website.
When you send us a flyer or link
- We receive what you enter: the link, the flyer image, any event details, and your email address only if you choose to add it.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person, not a bot. It's run by Cloudflare under their privacy policy.
- Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeat submissions. We don't store it with your submission.
- Submissions are stored with Cloudflare and reviewed by us. Only the event details go public, never your email address.
- We use your email address only to reply about that submission. We don't send newsletters or share it with anyone.
- How long we keep it: a submission stays stored (with Cloudflare, and on our own computer once we've reviewed it) as the record of where a listing came from. There's no automatic expiry yet; ask and we'll delete your submission, flyer or email address.
- Emails you send to hello@ or gigs@ditchevents.com arrive in our Gmail inbox and are handled the same way.
Event listings
Listings are collected from publicly published event information (venue, council, tourism and ticketing pages) and from submissions. They describe events, not people. If a listing includes something about you that you want changed or removed, tell us and we'll fix it.
Your choices
To ask what we hold about you, or to have a submission or your email address deleted, email hello@ditchevents.com. We'll reply as soon as we can.
Changes
If we start collecting anything new, we'll update this page and its date first.
