About DITCHEVENTS
A free, independent guide to what's on around Albury–Wodonga and the border: gigs, comedy, theatre, markets, community events and happy hours, in one place.
Why it exists
What's on around here is scattered across council calendars, venue websites, ticketing sites and social media. DITCHEVENTS pulls it together so you can open one page and see what's on tonight, this weekend, or near you.
Where the listings come from
- Public sources: council and tourism event calendars, venue websites and public ticketing pages. Every listing links back to its original source.
- Venues, artists and locals: anyone can send us a flyer or link, or email it to gigs@ditchevents.com. A person checks every submission before it goes live.
How listings are checked
- We re-read our sources regularly. A listing marked “Source checked” was read from that source at the time shown on its page.
- Where a local AI model helps read a page, every detail it pulls out has to appear word for word on the source page, and dates and times are worked out by our own code. Anything that doesn't pass goes to a person to check, not onto the site.
- Happy hours and specials are only listed while the venue's own page still shows them. Specials with conditions (members only, footy season) are checked by a person first.
- Flyers and submissions are read and checked by a person before they're listed.
Our rules
- We only publish what the source actually says. We never guess times, prices, age limits or cancellations; if a time isn't published, it shows as “Time TBC”.
- We always link back to the venue's or organiser's own page and tickets.
- Always check with the venue before heading out. Listings can change after we last checked them.
For venues and organisers
Listings are free, and always will be. Forward your gig flyers to gigs@ditchevents.com or send them here. Every venue also gets a free “What's on here” page with a printable QR poster.
Spotted a mistake? Every event page has a “This listing is wrong?” link, or email hello@ditchevents.com and we'll fix or remove it.
Who's behind it
DITCHEVENTS is built in Thurgoona, NSW, as part of the independent DITCH project. It isn't affiliated with any council, venue or ticketing company.
